Le Yoga Shop Paris lanserades i december 2012 av de svenskfödda men Paris baserade kreatörerna Kia och Magnus Naddermier. Med handplockade plagg och produkter samt kreativa samarbeten med designers som Lovisa Burfitt, Superfine, Hope och Filippa K har webbshoppen snabbt blivit en favorit för stilmedvetna yogis världen över.
Nu presenterar de sitt samarbete med Hope vilket har resulterat i linnet Hope Tank (48€ på hemsidan). Med yoga i åtanke har Hope tagit fram ett unikt print för Le Yoga Shop Paris. De tunna, ringlande linjerna för tankarna till de energilinjer som på sanskrit kallas Nadis. Där linjerna möts bildas ordet ”Hope”. En del av vinsten doneras till ett barnhem i ashtangayogans ”hemstad” Mysore.
Ann Ringstrand, medgrundare och creative director på Hope har yogat i snart 10 år. Här svarar hon på tre frågor om yoga.
What is your relationship with yoga and has it changed you in any way?
Wow – it is really a way of reflecting on my life in general. I started out seven years ago very ambitiously with Ashtanga Mysore Yoga. I really experienced fitness and flow. After a while I went into yoga darkness and experienced pressure and negative reaction from my body. I had to start all over and lower my expectations. I treated myself well by just being on the mat, not performing anything but just breathing. Two years ago I started practising Hatha Yoga and that’s where I’m at now.
What inspires you to keep on practising?
The breathing is the central part for me. It helps me through life, it’s a way to connect my mind with my body.
What do you wear when you practise?
Lululemon and Hope of course! I have to have calm colours. I usually layer with tight pieces underneath and Hope Drape Top or Byroness Top on top. I love scarves and socks to keep me warm when meditating.
